Gaming in 2023 is not easy for people with old computers , with the games requirements getting higher and higher every year , for people with potatoes laptops, pcs, it is impossible to run games such as Diablo 4 , Elden ring , Overwatch 2 , Call of duty warzone, Call of duty modern warfare 2 and much more , personally if i tied to play any of these games on my laptop it will definitely explode , but that did not stop me from enjoying some of the best video games out there for low end pcs , yes the quality might differ but the experience is the same , and even better with some of these games ( for me ), in this list i will present some of my favorite games that i played on my old computer , some i still paly to this day , there are a lot of fun so addictive and time consuming , you will not get bored or tired playing them , i highly recommend these games for you enjoy .
1: STRONGHOLD CRUSADER
stronghold crusader is a real-time strategy video game it is a follow up to the original game Stronghold , the game has so much in common with it's predecessor , the only difference is the fact that this game no longer takes place in England, instead it takes place in The middle east in the times of the crusades , i enjoyed this game so much , played it for years ,i also tried the HD version , and it was so much fun , the game recreates the campaigns of the Christian empires against the Islamic forces of Arabia , who control the holy land . the game play is easy to understand you will get familiar with it in no time . you will have to attack the enemies castles , and defend yours at the same time while trying to maintain a healthy and happy society , cause if you lost the love of the people you will have none to work to get goods and to hire as soldiers .

2: GTA SAN ANDREAS
This is a must for every gamer to play it is for a lot of people the greatest Grand theft auto game ever , this game endured for a very long time it is still relevant to this day , i still play the game from time to time it brings me joy and a lot of happy memories , it is an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar games in 2004 , it is the fifth main entry in the grand theft auto series , and probably the best , with so many people requesting a new version of the game rather than a new one , the story follows "CJ" Johnson a former gangster who returns home after his mothers death, shorty after his return he gets straight back to his gangster ways , life of crime while clashing with corrupt Authorities , back stabbing friends and dangerous criminals , if you finished the game and the main missions you can always starts a rampage in the street of los Santos , fight with the police , fight with people , play as a taxi driver , a police officer , a medic ( yeah right ) , but to be honest all i wanted to do is create mayhem , violence and extreme disorder . the missions levels on difficulty differs , for me the small helicopter was a pain in my ass , the thing is hard to control plus people are shooting at you , can't move in traffic, a total nightmare . all that aside this game is the best if you have not played it before you are missing out .CHEAT CODES :

3: TORCHLIGHT
for the hack and slash games fans this game is a gem , i played this game years ago and fell in love with it instantly , and for a game like this to work on my potato of a laptop i was extremely happy , finished it a couple of times using different characters , you can still play with your main character and go through the game again with a higher level of difficulty , it is an action role-playing hack and slash game published by perfect world , and released by Runic games for Windows in October 2009 , i highly recommend this game it's really good and addictive you will have so much fun playing it , trust me did , try to make your paladin as strong as you can don't rush things take it slow , and if you think you are not strong enough , you can always play the same level over and over until you get there , the reason is if you rushed through the levels you will find yourself in a dilemma , and you will not be able to beat the incoming challenges , make sure to choose a pet companion that suit you best , it will help you fight the surge of monsters charging at you . always equip your paladin with the best items try to enhance them as long as you can , the game is played in a small mining town which gets attacked by a mysterious mineral known as Ember which attacks miners and adventures , the recent corruption by this mineral effects the town by mutating anyone that comes across a corrupt piece , have fun and enjoy one of the best hack and slash games for low end pcs out there .

4: AGE OF EMPIRES 2 THE AGE OF KINGS (1999)
This is real-time strategy video game which was developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft in 1999 , it is the second game in the age od empires series , this game is legendary the fact i can still hear the different sounds in my head is crazy , i enjoyed playing this game a lot , it one of my favorites , i whish i can play the recent ones but my laptop capabilities don't match the system requirements , still this one is pretty much the same ( i keep telling myself that xd) , there is something about building a community and a town, send people to gather goods, resources and build an army that , while trying to maintain peace by defending your town that i will always enjoy , i just love it , the game contains thirteen playable civilizations , there are five historically based campaigns , as well as three additional single-player game modes , plus multiplayer mode is available . make sure to buy upgrades to enhance and increase the rate of gathering resources ( wood, stone and food ) you will need them to trade for gold in the marketplace , you can also generate gold in docks by using trading carts and cogs . try making your army stronger you will need it to protect your town and defeat the enemies .

5: COUNTER STIKE 1.6
This one is a tactical first person shooter ,and probably the game played by everyone it was initially developed and released as half -life ( another great game ) it was released by valve for Microsoft Windows in 2000 , it is the first of a series of games loved by all hated by none , players take the role of counter-terrorist and terrorist militants , i personally prefer playing with counter ( for obvious reasons ) , the game is easy and simple , it can run on an old computer with no problems , the game requirements suits my old laggy laptop , i love this game so much i have played it for years , it's a great game to pass time , plus it's a lot of fun , the game is quite smooth despite the fact that the graphics don't look the best , people do still play it , the best part is you can play it offline like i did , it's not like i did not want to play online with people the thing is i simply could not. you can also download mods and add them to the game like zombie one , if i connect my potato laptop to the internet and try to fin a server it will crash . Counter strike 1.6 is a timeless video game , don't sleep on this one it's really good .
